Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated

I know it’s been several months since I’ve been active on this blog, other than to respond to the occasional comment. I even received one e-mail from someone interested in buying the blog, since to him I appeared to be done with it.

Rest assured, though, I’m not done with Pilgrimito, and I’m hardly done traveling. In fact, since the middle of last year, Kathryn and I have attended a wedding in Kauai, spent a week with family in New England, drove to all twenty-one of the Catholic missions in California, and of course made at least a couple weekend road trips to Las Vegas.

I’ve just been too preoccupied to write about any of it.

Later this month, we’re heading to Paris for a week. We haven’t been there since 2007, and that was only for three nights, so we’re excited about the trip. We’re bracing ourselves for visiting the city in the cold of winter, but since we did well in Rome in February two winters ago, we’re not too worried.

I don’t like revealing too many details ahead of time, but if you’re a Pilgrimito reader and might be in the same part of the world at the same time, please get in touch with me.

In the meantime, I’ll begin the arduous process of backfilling the blog with posts about our previous trips. It’s possible those posts may arrive out of order.

  1. Good to see you blogging again! Looking forward to hearing about Paris in the winter!

  2. So far, so good. We’ll only be here another 36 hours. It’s been cold but manageable. We’ve spent a lot of time walking in spite of the weather.
